is proud to announce its next Urban Expedition: Thailand!.

Authentic Thai music, dance, foods, arts and crafts, and lore will all be on the program for Urban Expedition: Thailand. Marvel at authentic Thai fruit and vegetable carvers, martial arts performance from The Minnesota Martial Arts Academy (hosting a Krabi Krabong demonstration, the Thai martial arts in which Muay Thai originate), relax and enjoy a Thai massage from Gam’s Thai Massage, the Thai Association of Minnesota will be doing flower floats, fruit and vegetable carving, have your name written in Thai characters, and speech tent are all part of the days festivities!
Kids and adults alike get a passport and enjoy authentic cultural experiences from around the world. The Urban Expedition program (http://www.landmarkcenter.org/ue.html) draws on the Twin Cities’ rich multi-cultural array of performers, artists, chefs, and other community members sharing their heritage with both their own community and Twin Cities’ community at large. In addition, Landmark Center has partnered with community organization, Neighborhood House (http://www.neighb.org/), who will be hosting food drives at each of the Urban Expedition programs in order to benefit those members of our community in need. The public is encouraged to bring non-perishable food items.
Urban Expedition: Thailand is a part of Sundays at Landmark event series, which is family-friendly, culturally diverse and sponsored by Minnesota Landmarks, the nonprofit programming and management agency for Landmark Center in downtown Saint Paul. Landmark Center is handicap accessible. Landmark Center is located in downtown St. Paul at 75 West 5th Street, facing Rice Park, next to the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts and The Saint Paul Hotel.
