Wednesdays in July and August will be a little more melodious at
Landmark
Center
in Downtown St. Paul! Musicians will play over the noon lunch hour in Anita’s Café, located on the south end of Landmark’s lovely cortile. Anita’s Cafe will be filled with strains of solo saxophone, classical piano, jazz vocals, accordion, xylophone, fingerstyle roots guitar and so much more! The café is already a favorite of downtown residents, workers, and visitors, and now each week, over the noon lunch hour, it will come alive with a delightful array of sounds. The series is free and open to the public.
July 9th Dakota Dave Hull
Dakota Dave Hull’s guitar style spans a wide musical geography to create an infectious, uniquely personal blend of jazz, ragtime, folk, blues, Western swing, and vintage pop.
July 16th Joey Ryan
Singer/songwriter that draws inspiration from 50/60's pop. (Beach Boys, Everly Brothers, Dylan, Beatles), while hinting at elements of more modern day bands such as The Shins, Belle & Sebastian, and Dr. Dog.

Cellists that use all 8 amplified strings to sing, squawk, scream, growl and purr their way through an eclectic repertoire ranging from Bach to Led Zeppelin, to their own improvisational, and jazz-influenced compositions.
Aug. 6th Spaghetti Western String Co.
Banjo, guitar, mandolin and more will be featured in this set from Nicholas Lemme and Big Mike Rossetto of the Twin Cities' most unique and remarkable quartet, the Spaghetti Western String, Co. Nicholas is a genre hopping musician who boasts a love of jazz, classical, bluegrass, and rock, and has performed with the prestigious choral group The Dale Warland Singers. Michael is the originator/founding member of Spaghetti Western String Co. and handles the duties of banjo and guitar.

In addition, she is the Narrator/Education Consultant for the WAMSO Kinder Konzert Series for the Minnesota Orchestra and has accompanied the Zenon Dance Company, the Northwestern University Early Music Ensemble, and silent film screenings for Minnesota Film Arts. performed jazz standards together for over 20 years. Jazz vocalist
Vicky
Mountain
and guitarist James Allen will perform their music, discuss these two artists’ individual styles, and explain the chemistry that made Ella and Joe’s music legendary. James Allen performs regularly with his duo playing jazz and blues, with Cuerda y Madera playing Latin jazz, with Gypsy Mania playing gypsy jazz and freelances.

Mountain
has been part of the Twin Cities jazz scene since 1976singing in her own groups and as a freelance performer in concerts, clubs and clinics. From her early years in Top 40 dance bands through later cabaret shows, jazz and blues combos, big bands, and avant garde music, she remains excited by music of all styles.
