Sundays at Landmark family program series
kicks off its 18th year of Family Fun
Saint Paul, MN St. Paul’s historic Landmark Center will celebrate its 18th Sundays at Landmark programming season with a menu of family programming designed to entertain, educate and enrich audiences of all ages. Admission is free or very low-cost. The season begins on Sunday, September 27th when Landmark Center will invite the public to enjoy the 3rd annual Mid-Autumn Moon Festival featuring a beautiful lantern parade through Rice Park and the season will conclude with the annual Mother’s Day concert offered by the Saint Paul Civic Symphony. The complete season schedule spans cultures and the arts. One of the season’s biggest highlights includes the 6th season of Urban Expedition featuring Korea, Hungary, Colombia, Israel and Ghana! Join us and get an opportunity to travel the world without leaving Saint Paul.
SEPTEMBER
September 27th Mid-Autumn Moon Festival 4-6 pm
Highlights of the most popular Asian family holiday - Mid-Autumn Moon Festival include cultural harvesting and lantern dances performed by the Hoang Anh dance group, a meditation demonstration, and a traditional holiday display. Children and families will
have the opportunity to learn about the moon tales from the Asian Tellers, make a storybook, decorate their own lantern, play twilight games, enjoy a taste of moon cake, and join in the lantern parade through Rice Park. Co-sponsored by the Friends of the St. Paul Public Library.
OCTOBER
October 11th St. Paul City Ballet, F.K. Weyerhaeuser Auditorium, 1pm
A Tribute to the 100th Anniversary of Les Ballets Russes: Excerpts from La Boutique Fantasque and Les Sylphides, premieres in Paris, 1909. Performed by both the Chamber dancers and the students of Saint Paul City Ballet.
October 18th Saint Paul Civic Symphony Fall Concert, “Bella Italia!”, 1pm
The Saint Paul Civic Symphony presents their annual fall concert highlighting the beautiful and stirring music from Italy featuring soloists Sarah Kwak and William Schrickel of the Minnesota Orchestra.
October 25thGreat Pumpkin Festival 1pm
Among Landmark Center’s most popular family-friendly programs, the Great Pumpkin Festival delivers all things Halloween, including storytelling, music, art projects, a costume parade and more! Dress up and join in the fun, free of charge!
NOVEMBER
November 1st Skylark Opera presents “Gilbert and Sullivan a la Carte”, 2pm
Wonder as the beautiful soundings of Skylark Opera resonate through historic Landmark Center’s Musser Cortile.
November 8th Saint Martin’s Day Celebration 4pm – 6pm; Co-presented by The Germanic American Institute Rice Park is transformed into a flickering early winter wonderland during this celebration of German traditions and treats. Celebrate with spirit of giving and commemorate the generous spirit of St. Martin through lantern-making and a parade through Rice Park at dusk, led by St. Martin and his trusty horse. Please bring items to donate to Joseph’s Coat.
November 15th Rose Ensemble Performance “The Last Queen of Hawai'i: Music from the Soul of the Hawaiian Saga”, 1pm
Through music, movement and narration, Hawai'i Revealed honors the Hawaiians' struggle to keep alive the rich musical traditions nearly eradicated by the arrival of Captain Cook and American missionaries.
JANUARY
January 3rd Minnesota Boychoir Annual Winter Holiday Concert, Two concert times: 1pm & 3:30pm
Over 100 talented boys aged 7 to 18 years old comprise the Boychoir as they perform their annual Winter Concert at Landmark Center.
FEBRUARY
February 7th Urban Expedition: Korea! 1pm
Landmark Center’s increasingly popular globe-trotting tour begins with Korea! Experience music, dance, arts & crafts and more without leaving St. Paul. Kids get a passport and a chance to learn about another culture’s customs and traditions.
February 13th & 14th A Scottish Ramble Sat 10am-5pm Sun 12pm-5pm $5 adults / $3 kids & seniors
Nothing’s cooler than kilts in February! Enjoy bagpipes, dance competitions, shopping, informative lectures and traditional music as annual favorite, the Scottish Ramble, invades Landmark Center!
February 21st Urban Expedition: Hungary! 1pm
Celebrate this beautiful country and enjoy its rich and varied customs, rituals and expressions!
February 28th Urban Expedition: Colombia! 1pm
Come and learn about the traditions, arts and activities from this South American gem!

Learn about the rich and interesting history and culture of Israel. Enjoy culinary delights and art, activities and more.
March 14th IMDA Day of Irish Dance 11am-5pm & March 17th IMDA St. Patrick Day Irish Celebration 10am-5:00pm $6 adults /$4 kids & seniors
Take in all things Irish at two events you can’t miss at Landmark Center. Lively Celtic music, dancing and authentic vendors, come enjoy one of St. Paul’s best traditions! Produced by the Irish Music and Dance Association, hosted by Minnesota Landmarks.

April 18th Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists Concert, Spring Awakening, 1pm
Enjoy a concert featuring music by the talented students from the Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists Vocal Ensembles and instrumentalists.

May 9th St. Paul Civic Symphony Mother’s Day Concert, “Souvenirs from Bayreuth”, 1pm
The always popular Mother’s Day Concert at Landmark Center is a “must see” in our spring line up. Enjoy music from or inspired by Richard Wagner’s Ring Cycle featuring one of the winners of the 2009 WAMSO Young Artists' Competition
Sundays at Landmark event series is produced by Minnesota Landmarks, the nonprofit programming and management agency for Landmark Center. Sundays at Landmark is sponsored by Travelers Foundation. Landmark Center, owned and sponsored by Ramsey County, is located in downtown St. Paul at 75 West 5th Street, facing Rice Park, next to the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts and The Saint Paul Hotel. Landmark Center is accessible to those with impaired mobility. Parking is available on street and in nearby Macy's, Lawson, Science Museum and RiverCentre Ramps.
