Uncle Sam Worked Here – “First in Line to Vote”

Local historian Madeline Hansen will discuss the history of women’s suffrage in Minnesota, including South Saint Paul’s role as the first city in the U.S. where women voted after the 19th Amendment was ratified in 1920. This Uncle Sam Worked Here lecture is presented in conjunction with the North Gallery exhibition, “A Century of Civic Engagement: League of Women Voters.”
