SKANDIA: A Scandinavian Festival

Over the past seven years, the SKANDIA festival has emerged as one of

’s premier programs. The annual Scandinavian festival brings close to a thousand people into
St. Paul
’s esteemed arts and culture center over the course of a Sunday afternoon in December. Visitors aged 1 to 100 sample authentic Scandinavian cuisine; take in live performances from a range of performing arts groups like Finn Hall, Ole Olsson’s Oldtime Orkestra, the SvenskarnasDag Girls Choir and more; browse the SKANDIA marketplace, which features an array of artisans, organizations, one-of-a-kind artwork, travel information, and scores of treasures; enjoy hands-on activities and adventures in storytelling, as well as a Viking Age Encampment. Since SKANDIA’s inception, thousands of Scandinavians and non-Scandinavians alike have enjoyed the event and its surrounding environs in historic

Center
. SKANDIA joins the St. Patrick’s Day celebration and the Scottish Ramble as one of
Landmark
Center
’s, and
St. Paul
’s, signature cultural events.
As SKANDIA grows,
