"[The 2007 Twin Cities National Preservation Conference] poses a great opportunity for all of us with a stake or an interest in historic preservation in Minnesota, as it will showcase our successes here to that date. The opportunity lies in the four intervening years, we have to get ready for them, to make more successes than failures, of course, but also to use the arrival of a couple thousand nosy visitors to raise the visibility of preservation across the state, not just for a least the week they are here, but for every day between now and then."
