SUMMARY:"what do you see?" High Schooler's Master Class - part 2
DESCRIPTION:Day two of a two day master class for high schoolers\, led by Young Huie. Participants will be challenged with the notion that what we see\, and often think\, is distorted by assumptions and world-view. They will learn to look beyond their own view points to produce thought-provoking art work. The results of the master classes will be on display at a free public exhibition and reception on Tuesday\, March 10\, 2020\, 5 – 7 p.m. \nGrades 9-12 welcome. DESCRIPTION:A remarkable story of grit and grace that spans almost 100 years. “Stalag Luft III – One Man’s Story” is returning for an additional screening in Landmark Center’s F.K. Weyerhaeuser Auditorium\, February 29\, at 2 p.m. The film chronicles the journey of former St. Paul\, Minn. resident Charles Woehrle as he relives his harrowing story flying in the Mighty Eighth\, and as a prisoner of war in Stalag Luft III – the Nazi prison camp made famous by the iconic 1963 Hollywood film “The Great Escape.” \nThe screening is open to the public.
