From abstract purity to spiritual symbolism\, these works reveal the lasting power of his ideas across generations. \nPresented simultaneously in 21 countries across six continents\, this exhibition is part of a worldwide tribute. Heritage Organization of Romanian Americans in Minnesota (HORA) is proud to host the only U.S. presentation\, organized in partnership with the Inter‑Art Aiud Foundation and the Brâncuși National Museum\, curated by Raluca Octav\, bringing international resonance to a local celebration. SUMMARY:HORA: Mărțișor Spring Craft Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join Heritage Organization of Romanian Americans in Minnesota (HORA) and celebrate the arrival of spring with the cherished Romanian tradition of Mărțișor—a symbol of renewal\, hope\, and cultural pride. Observed in both Romania and Moldova\, Mărțișor refers to both the custom and the delicate token exchanged at the start of March: a small ornament crafted from twisted red and white threads\, often adorned with a tassel. \nThe name Mărțișor comes from marț\, an old folk term for March (martie in modern Romanian)\, and translates to “little March.” Traditionally worn pinned to the chest like a brooch or lapel pin\, this charming keepsake is shared from March 1st onward to mark the beginning of spring. \nJoin us in making your own Mărțișor! This hands-on activity is free and open to all ages\, offered on a first-come\, first-served basis. All materials will be provided—just bring your creativity and a sense of celebration!
