DESCRIPTION:Following Advocacy Days at the MN State Capitol on March 12 – 13 with Moms Demand Action and Protect Minnesota to address gun safety\, the League of Women Voters of Minnesota (LWVMN) invites community members to a powerful film showing and discussion at the Landmark Center in downtown St Paul. Death by Numbers is an Oscar nominated short film that follows Parkland school shooting survivor Sam Fuentes’s journey to reclaim her power and confront her assailant. Through Sam’s processing of trauma by journaling\, she examines complex questions of collective hatred and community justice. \nAfter we saw another mass shooting at Annunciation Church and School in August\, Minnesotans have once again asked leaders to address gun violence. Please join us to learn more about how to get involved and reflect on the importance of our advocacy efforts.
