This group has one word to describe their musical connection: lucky. Organic and genuine\, their original compositions feel both comfortingly familiar and uniquely fresh and have been described as “genre-bending” (Julie Amacher\, MPR) and “pure magic” (Wausau Pilot & Review). The ease with which they write and perform has caught the attention of the Minnesota music community\, bringing them success on stages such as The Cedar Cultural Center and as frequent featured artists with Minnesota Public Radio. Their distinct compositional and performance style awarded them the honor of being finalists for the prestigious McKnight Fellowships for Musicians in 2018.

DESCRIPTION:Courtroom (Video) Concerts continue on October 29\, with “From the Archive\,” the Lux String Quartet featuring Debussy’s String Quartet in G minor\, recorded in November 2019. Lux String Quartet is a Twin-Cities based ensemble\, bringing a dynamic edge to performance and education since 2013. As avid recitalists\, Lux maintains an active presence in a wide array of musical spheres\, from concert halls and churches\, to coffee shops and podcasts. Members of the quartet are Stephanie Skor and Erika Blanco\, violins; Kirsti Petraborg\, viola; and Eric Graf\, cello.

The Video Concert season opener is October 15 with the Maithree Ensemble presenting “The Music of Friendship\,” a harmonious coexistence between players from different cultures who share a common global dream of\nenthusiastic diversity. The concert features original music\, along with new arrangements of Indian\, Irish\, and Turkish tunes. The Maithree Ensemble is Nirmala Rajasekar\, Indian veena; Boopathi\, percussion; Michelle Kinney\, cello; Pat O’Keefe\, clarinet; and Tim O’Keefe\, world percussion.
