SUMMARY:Dear Lenny: Bernstein's Life in Songs & Letters
DESCRIPTION:“‘Dear Lenny’ has the fizz\, elegance and smoothness of a champagne cocktail.”\n– Pioneer Press \nChronofon–Bradley Greenwald\, Prudence Johnson\, Diana Grasselli\, and Dan Chouinard–is returning to Landmark Center’s F.K. Weyerhaeuser Auditorium to present “Dear Lenny: Bernstein’s Life in Songs & Letters\,” their meditation on Leonard Bernstein’s commitment to music\, love\, and the artist as progressive social activist. \nBernstein’s masterpieces from Broadway\, the concert hall\, and the silver screen—together with his fascinating and candid correspondence with Aaron Copland\, Steven Sondheim\, Jerome Robbins\, Bette Davis\, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and more—will be presented in a theatrical concert that\, as Bernstein would put it\, “appeals to both the intellect and the heart.” Support is provided in part by Minnesota Landmarks/Landmark Center. \nWith Bruce Thornton & Greg Hippen
