SUMMARY:Music on the Cortile: clovers daughter
DESCRIPTION:Music on the Cortile (previously known as Music from the Porch and Music in the Café) presents live performances by musicians in the picturesque Musser Cortile at Landmark Center. Taking place over 5 Thursday lunch hours throughout the summer\, these concerts offer an opportunity to hear talented local musicians. Best of all\, they’re free and open to everyone. Attendees are welcome to bring their lunch or pick one up from Jenni’s Cafe! \nJuly 23: clovers daughter\nclovers daughter is an independent artist creating music at the intersection of indie pop and alternative. Known for blending genres and mood-driven production\, she focuses on crafting immersive listening experiences that invite audiences into emotionally detailed worlds rather than single moments. \nHer debut EP\, Bittersweet (April 30\, 2025)\, introduced her as a songwriter drawn to the complexity of young love—capturing its warmth\, uncertainty\, and nostalgia. She followed with her first full-length project\, Am I Worth It? (August 12\, 2025)\, a 10-track album that explored the aftermath of betrayal\, painting vivid emotional portraits of being wronged and the psychological weight that lingers long after. Her second EP\, Fragile Feeling (February 18\, 2026)\, continues that evolution\, examining the painful\, often unspoken sides of love with honesty and restraint. \nAcross three releases\, clovers daughter has established a sound defined by genre fluidity\, introspective themes\, and a commitment to building cohesive\, atmosphere-rich projects. As an independent artist\, she continues to shape a body of work that prioritizes emotional depth\, intentional storytelling\, and sonic exploration. \nUpcoming Music on the Cortile Dates:\nAugust 6: Room3 \nAugust 20: anni xo

SUMMARY:HORA: Nadia Comăneci - 50 Years of the Perfect 10 Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:Visit the Romanian American Cultural Center on Sundays in July to view a special exhibit dedicated to one of the world’s most well known gymnasts of all time\, Nadia Comăneci. Commemorating the 50th anniversary of Comăneci’s groundbreaking perfect 10 score at the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games\, this exhibit explores how her flawless routine not only redefined the possibilities of gymnastics\, but also transformed the global perception of athletic excellence. \nVisitors will see how a 14‑year‑old gymnast from Romania captivated the world\, inspired generations of athletes\, and set new standards for precision\, artistry\, and discipline. Through photographs and historical context\, the exhibit will trace Comăneci’s journey from her early training in Romania to her rise as a global symbol of grace and determination. \nThe exhibit will also highlight her enduring influence on the sport—from the evolution of scoring systems to the way young gymnasts around the world train\, dream\, and push the boundaries of what is possible. Nadia’s legacy extends far beyond medals; she became a cultural icon whose impact continues to echo across sports\, media\, and international representation. \n\n\n\nHORA will be closed on July 5th in observance of the 4th of July holiday.
