SUMMARY:Romanian Spring Traditions: Exhibit Grand Opening
DESCRIPTION:HORA is happy to present the Romanian Spring Traditions exhibit between March 6th and April 15\, 2022. This event will be located in the North Gallery of the Landmark Center\, first floor. Visitors will get immersed in various art activities while learning about Romanian culture and traditions. All activities are free and open to the public. \nFeatured activities and artists for this event are: \n\nDuo Fara Nume music performance: 1:45-2:15 pm\, North Gallery. Listen to Romanian classical and folk music.\nNicoleta Cornea polymer clay demo 2:30-3 pm\, room 317. Observe a demo on how to make jewelry with polymer clay or get new ideas of how to be creative. You can also purchase beautiful jewelry made by the artist.\nIzvorasul dance ensemble 3:30-4 pm\, room 317. Watch Romanian traditional folk dances and join in learning some of the steps.\nMartisor making 2-4 pm\, room 317. Get creative making “Martisor”\, a traditional spring lucky charm usually given on March 1st as a symbol of love. Materials will be supplied and no existing experience is needed. This event is open to everyone\, seats are on a first come\, first served basis.\n\nThis event is curated by HORA Romanian American Cultural Center Director Raluca Octav\, and made possible with help from MN Landmarks and voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council\, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

What would you like to hear from them? “Letters to your neighbor” will explore the sense of connection.
