Thomasina Petrus is a professional jazz singer, songwriter and 35yr (AEA) actor who cultivated her multi-talents through study, mentorship, and friendships of many twin cities elite artists. She is a creative muse rooted in the legacy of black women’s voices. Thomasina now creates exceptional music and theatre experiences for stage, film, corporate and commercial marketing. She has toured the country honoring Billie Holiday with productions of “Lady Day @ Emerson’s Bar & Grill” by Lanie Robertson. Thomasina has staged original productions “The Best of Billie & Me”, “Etta James…Dreams to Remember”, “Hot Chocolate”, a multi-Holiday concert series and full musical stage production. She is co-author of “Hold” a musical poem/play with incarcerated women through HCL. She scored music for the world premiere of “Ashti’s Journey to Jazz” by Carmen Rubin and was just honored by the Twin Cities Film Festival 2023 for her work on the documentary soundtrack “The Water Cries” for “The Juneteenth Story, From Galveston, TX to Minnesota”, and “Bells for Philando” 2022, both produced with OMG Media Solutions.
Kashimana Ahua (she/they) is a mother, musician, singer, songwriter, composer, producer, guitarist, and performing teaching artist with a rich soulful blues voice that soars through their original compositions. Mixing Pop, Soul, R&B and more, Kashimana’s distinctive voice pulls you in and connects you to frequencies that encourage connection and transformation. The name Kashimana means ‘that’s their heart’ and you can hear their heart beating in the compelling sound of Kashimana’s music. Kashimana often draws inspiration from their experiences growing up in Nigeria, Kenya, traveling through Africa, Europe and finally settling in the United States.
Landmark Center is pleased to bring three talented acts to the stage for the 15th season of Landmark Live, an annual concert series in the heart of downtown St. Paul supported by KFAI and the Pioneer Press. Concerts take place in the F.K. Weyerhaeuser Auditorium and begin at 7:30 pm. An informal cocktail hour will take place before each show at 6:45 pm. Grab a drink from the cash bar and some snacks before the show!
