VOLUNTEER AT LANDMARK CENTER

One of Landmark Center’s most essential components is the Landmark Center Volunteer Association (LCVA).

Landmark is lucky to have a core group of dedicated volunteers, some of whom have been contributing to the building for decades. LCVA is always looking for new members, from those wishing to learn the entertaining art of guiding tours, to people who have 3+ hours a week to staff the information desk and help inform our visitors, to work at the Landmarket Gift Shop, and more!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

Tour Guides
Volunteer tour guides are scheduled to lead tours of Landmark Center – the restored, old Federal Courts Building – as they are requested.

Visitor Information Desk
Duties include answering the telephone, greeting and directing visitors, keeping a running count of all visitors to the building, and as Landmark Center is the information center for the city of St. Paul, volunteers need to know about all building activities, as well as public events/activities in the city.

Landmarket Gift Shop
Duties include making sales transactions and light store upkeep. Volunteers should be friendly and outgoing, able to make change and keep records.

Event Staff
Volunteers help in various capacities at special events throughout the year. These tasks may include taking admissions, handing out programs, welcoming visitors, decorating tables, distributing brochures, ticket sales, host/hostess duties, registration help, ushering, decorating the building for holidays, etc.

Hospitality Staff
Volunteers sell coffee, cocoa, lemonade, cookies and potato chips at many of Landmark Center’s Sunday events.

If you’re looking to join this venerable St. Paul community, and/or if you’re interested in history and the arts, and if you’d like to give back to a building that gives so much, please contact Jenny Reinhard, at 651.292.3237 or jreinhard@landmarkcenter.org.
