FreeJoin us for Summer Nights in Rice featuring Kendra Glenn Band!
Celebrate summer with live music, dancing, and community vibes at Summer Nights in Rice, a free outdoor concert series held on select Thursdays from 5–7 PM, June through September, in beautiful Rice Park. July 31st features the Kendra Glenn Band. A native of Chicago IL, Kendra Glenn, the product of a musical family, realized her gift of singing at the tender age of 10 when she began singing in the church choir. Throughout her 23 years of performing, Kendra Glenn has been a studio session singer for Andy Kotz productions and the well-known Pachyderm studios; sung backgrounds for national recording artists (including former Buddy Guy blues guitarist Scott Holt, Prince protégé Sue Ann Carwell, and Andre Fischer, Grammy award winning writer and producer for Rufus and Chaka Khan); and opened for national recording acts such as Blues sensation Bernard Allison, Rolls Royce, Dazz Band, and Cameo. In addition to the Kendra Glenn Band (KGB), she’s worked with several local bands in the Twin Cities.
Grab a bite or sip at a nearby restaurant, then enjoy an evening of incredible local talent, festive energy, and warm-weather fun. After the show, keep the night going by heading to Lowertown Sounds in nearby Mears Park for even more live music!
