Set against the backdrop of a remarkable summer, this film reflects on a moment when Minnesotans gathered to celebrate, commemorate, and imagine the future — offering a window into a pivotal chapter of our shared history. The evening begins with a relaxed pre-show reception, offering time to connect with fellow guests and explore a shared display of personal mementos.

We invite attendees to bring a favorite Bicentennial-era keepsake, photograph, or piece of memorabilia. These personal artifacts will be displayed throughout the reception, creating a shared reflection on the memories, celebrations, and experiences that shaped the summer of 1976. Following the reception, we’ll enjoy the premiere screening of Summer of ’76.
