50 Years of Vietnamese Americans in Minnesota Celebration and Exhibit Opening

This August, Landmark Center’s North Gallery will feature Making It Home: From Việt Nam to Minnesota, a powerful exhibition that traces the stories of Vietnamese immigrants and refugees who have built new lives and lasting legacies in Minnesota over the past five decades. Through personal artifacts, photographs, and oral histories, the exhibit offers an intimate look at the resilience, culture, and community spirit that define the Vietnamese American experience. From August 17 through September 21, visitors are invited to explore
this moving tribute to heritage, home, and identity.

Join us Sunday, August 17 from 11 am-3 pm for the exhibit opening and community celebration event marking the 50th anniversary of the Fall of Saigon (1975–2025). This heartfelt occasion honors the journey and achievements of Vietnamese Americans since their arrival. Attendees can explore historical and cultural displays, artifacts, interactive activities, panel discussions, oral histories, photo collages, crafting, and cultural performances.
