Listen to Children: An Evening of Student-Led Art Regarding Gun Violence

Applause Community Theatre is pleased to help bring Protect Minnesota and students from Perpich Center for Arts Education to Landmark Center for a powerful evening exploring gun violence through the arts.

Young artists will take center stage through theater, music, movement, and visual art created by young people to share their perspectives on an issue that has become an inescapable part of growing up in America.

This evening will feature four ten-minute plays, along with music, movement, and a visual art showcase, all created by students who live with the fear and reality of gun violence every single day. These are not abstract statistics to them. This is their lived experience, told in their own words, through their own art.

Listen to Children asks something both simple and important of its audience: come, experience their art, hear what young people have to say, listen – take the needed action.
