Due to weather, tonight’s performance with Courtney Burton has been moved inside Landmark Center.

Summer Nights in Rice is a free outdoor summer concert series occurring on select Wednesdays from 5:00pm -7:00pm, June through August. Enjoy food and drink at a local spot, grab a hot dog at Deb’s Hot Dogs or a sandwich from Jenni’s Cafe in the park, and head to Rice Park for FREE live music, community connections, and hot summer night dancing!

In a special performance to inaugurate the upcoming Twin Cities Jazz Fest (June 19-20), the Courtney Burton Sextet brings to Rice Park the smooth sounds of old school jazz with an unforgettable, feel-good vibe. Courtney Burton is a captivating jazz singer who has a deep passion for jazz standards and the Great American Songbook. Performing for over 25 years, Courtney’s soulful voice breathes new life into the classic American Songbook, infusing it with a contemporary spirit, a touch of blues, and an abundance of soul. Her music exudes style, warmth, and infectious passion, breathing new life into the classic American Songbook and swing era.

  • July 8: International Reggae All Stars (Reggae, dancehall and Bob Marley classics)
  • July 29: Rosie Daze Band ( all-women string band blending bluegrass and old-time genres)
  • August 5: Moonlight Serenaders of Minnesota (big band music)
  • August 19: Boiled in Lead (Celtic punk and world music)

Summer Nights in Rice is presented by Rice Park Association in conjunction with the Twin Cities Mobile Jazz Project, with support from the Saint Paul Cultural STAR Program and program sponsors the Historic Hamm Building, Landmark Center, Landmark Tower Apartments & Sherman Associates, Park Towers Condominium Association, Schubert Club and The Saint Paul Hotel-The Grill.

In case of rain or inclement weather, concerts will be moved into Landmark Center. Restroom facilities for the concerts will be available at Landmark Center throughout the series.
