December 2: Mother Banjo – Featuring Ellen Stanley on banjo and vocals, Mother Banjo is a New England-raised, Minneapolis-based songwriter. Called “an outstanding poet” (Inside Bluegrass), she was a Midwest Finalist for the prestigious NewSong Contest and has been featured nationally on SiriusXM Radio and CMT.com. This family-friendly show will feature songs from her holiday EP CHRISTMAS CAME EARLY, recorded with her husband Ben Cook-Feltz and hailed as “a soul-healing collection of songs that put
you in the spirit of the season” (Rift Magazine). In addition, she’ll perform other covers, holiday classics and originals from her latest album Eyes on the Sky. Expect sing-alongs and lots of holiday cheer!

December 9: The OK Factor – Olivia Diercks and Karla Colahan, cellist and violinist of the new-classical crossover duo, The OK Factor, have one word to describe their musical connection: lucky. Organic and genuine, their original compositions feel both comfortingly familiar and uniquely fresh, and have been described as “genre-bending” (Julie Amacher, MPR) and “pure magic” (Wausau Pilot & Review). The ease with which they write and perform has caught the attention of the Minnesota music community, bringing them success on stages such as The Cedar Cultural Center and as frequent featured artists with Minnesota Public Radio. Their distinct compositional and performance style awarded them the honor of being finalists for the prestigious McKnight Fellowships for Musicians in 2018.

December 16: Lee Engele and Friends – Vocalist Lee Engele fronts local big bands, and her active solo career has put her in the company of both local and national artists. She has a number of self-produced CDs to her credit, which have received delightful reviews by both local and national reviewers that include LA Jazz Scene Magazine, and Twin Cities legend Leigh Kammen, former host of The Jazz Image on MPR. She has also been featured on a number of jazz and rock compilation CDs. Engele has appeared at numerous jazz festivals including the Twin Cities Jazz Festival for the past 18 years, and concerts have included shows at Bloomington Center for the Arts, Hopkins Center for the Arts, and the Old Log Theater.
