Celebrate summer with live music, dancing, and community vibes at Summer Nights in Rice, a free outdoor concert series held on select Thursdays from 5–7 PM, June through September, in beautiful Rice Park. June 26th features Ethno USA ‘On the Road.’ Ethno is a global folk music movement established in Sweden in 1990 that now takes place annually across 40 countries worldwide, bringing together young musicians to connect and thrive in the spirit of openness and respect for all peoples and cultures. Get ready for an amazing nine-piece Ethno ensemble featuring musicians from diverse musical cultures including India, China, Haiti and Native cultures. Together with musicians from Georgia, Texas and the First Nations of the Lumbee, Ojibwe, and Oglala Lakota, they form “Ethno USA On The Road”, a global music spectacle showcasing rich harmonies, authentic arrangements and a high-quality mix of world cultures!
Grab a bite or sip at a nearby restaurant, then enjoy an evening of incredible international talent, festive energy, and warm-weather fun. After the show, keep the night going by heading to Lowertown Sounds in nearby Mears Park for even more live music!
